Arlia Hassell is a jewellery and object maker aiming to incorporate ethically sourced materials and innovative design to create quality pieces. She also offers the option of a collaborative experience with her customers to fabricate their custom designs.

 

After trying her hand at short courses and block work in jewellery design and manufacture in QLD for a little over two years, Arlia Hassell found her love of the process involved in seeing and creating a piece of jewellery from the very start to finish grow. This is when she decided that Melbourne was the place to be.

 

Graduating from NMIT in 2013 with an Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology, specialising in Jewellery Manufacture. Engaging in experimental design that reflects my interest in the 'Beauty of the unexpected', I recieved the 'Most creative use of Material' award for my graduate collection.

 

Arlia Hassell brand and collection is on the importance of using ethically sourced materials that showcase her appreciation to the environment. 'I am interested in re-evaluating the found objects original purpose by placing it in a precious setting. Creating objects that speak an unspoken message of their own.'
