SEPTEMBER 2015

Arlia Hassell Jewellery has finally made the much dreamt about, move to the magical Byron Shire.

For anyone who has not had the pleasure of visiting this area, it really is a must! There are many, many pristine and unspoilt beaches that stretch for miles, sometimes without another person in sight. At this time of year I can go grab my morning coffee and whilst gathering my thoughts and inspiration I get to watch the pod of whales on their migration to the colder waters of the south. How spoilt is that?!

If that wasn't enough to inspire, these beaches back onto beautifully, peaceful rainforests and a seaming-less endless hinterland. Where Sunday drives can turn into Sunday night camps with open fires and star gazing!!

This place is somewhere I have only ever dreamt about living. I am so very thankful for this dream to have become a reality and it just goes to show, that if you really REALLY want something just put it out there and it WILL come to you in your time.

AUGUST 2015

A very exciting opportunity to be in the September issue of ELLE UK. I was found via social media for this and it just goes to show how connected we all are now to the whole world. Thank you mother internet!!

DECEMBER 2014

I am very excited to be participating in this great Christmas event put together by Melbourne's very unique Craft affiliate. This event showcases a broad range of Melbourne's inspiring makers.

NOVEMBER 2014

Below is a preview of my new work for the 'Island Dreaming' series.

The inspiration for this new line came from all the years I spent as a wee tacker exploring the beach, which may as-well have been my backyard. Many, many, many hours were spent adventuring and exploring all of the exciting little creatures and species that I would find in the sand dunes and rock pools. Then in the lazy and hazy afternoons, I would spend many more hours dreaming up whimsical underwater worlds. I am still ever inspired when I am around the ocean and hope that in my new series this is reflected in 'Island Dreaming.' I am excited to present my first retail line where I seek to develop a juxtaposition between the simplistic and experimental elements that are the basis of my work.
